India, Sept. 28 -- Cockroach Janata Party's Abhijeet Dipke broke his silence on the ongoing violent protests at Lovely Professional University (LPU) in Phagwara, Punjab on Monday. He shared a purported video of a female student at the university who claims that some boys had entered the girls' hostel with knives in their hands. The student can be heard saying that all girls had been asked to remain in their rooms as security outside the campus had become minimal.

Sharing the video on X, Dipke said women should not have to protest or fight for something as basic as their safety. He argued that a university campus should be one of the safest places in the world.
