India, Sept. 4 -- Schools in West Bengal started ensuring that the national song is sung in full after the state government threatened to stop aid, chief minister Suvendu Adhikari said on Thursday. "We made it mandatory to sing all six stanzas of 'Vande Mataram' in schools. Initially there were objections...I said the government aid will be stopped. Then they budged," Adhikari said during an event in Kolkata. "I asked the education secretary to send me videos of schools. I noticed that everyone stood, but not all lips were moving. I told they will have to move their lips too."htc
