India, Sept. 13 -- Congress leader Rahul Gandhi seems unimpressed with the food that was served at the BRICS Summit, attended by leaders of China, Russia, South Africa, UAE, Malaysia and Egypt. While Gandhi did not make a direct remark at the BRICS menu, which included only vegetarian dishes, he shared a cryptic post on his social media accounts.

Sharing a photograph of a lunch spread with chole bathure, the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha wrote, "For the record: 80% of Indians are non-vegetarian. Indian non-vegetarian food is delicious as are my sister's chole bhature."

Congress MP Pawan Khera also took potshots at the government for having only vegetarian dishes on the menu and accused the BJP of 'imposing dietary preferences'.
