Cupertino, Sept. 12 -- The A20 Pro chip in Apple's new iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo takes its cues from the M6, the processor the company built for the Mac, reversing the direction in which Apple silicon has travelled since the first iPhone. It is also the first 2-nanometre chip in a smartphone, part of a shift that has moved Apple's iPhone, Mac and Apple Watch processors onto the same manufacturing process within a fortnight.
