India, Nov. 1 -- Ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, chief minister Nitish Kumar raised the poll pitch with a video message on Saturday, highlighting the work done by his incumbent government which has been in power since 2005.

Nitish Kumar, in the almost four-minute-long video, said his government has served the people of Bihar with honesty and transformed the state from a point where the word Bihari was an insult to one where it is now a matter of honour.

The JD(U) chief said the law and order situation in the state was in doldrums when he took over two decades ago and that the efforts of his government have brought significant improvements in education, health, roads, electricity, drinking water, agriculture, and youth employment....
