'Despite our request...': India's tit-for-tat move against Pakistan mission explained
India, Aug. 21 -- The Ministry of External Affairs on Friday called the tit-for-tat move "Proportional action" after structures outside the Indian mission in Islamabad were removed.
The development came after Pakistani authorities removed some structures outside the Indian High Commission in Islamabad despite a request from New Delhi not to proceed with the action.
Explaining the move, external affairs ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said India's response was "proportionate" to the action taken by Pakistan.
"... some structures in front of the Indian High Commission in Pakistan, which were meant to facilitate parking, were removed," Jaiswal said.
