India, Aug. 12 -- Nasa has invited the Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) to join its Moon Base programme, deepening the US-India partnership in space exploration, the US Embassy in India said on Tuesday.

The invitation was announced after the ninth meeting of the India-US Civil Space Joint Working Group, held at Isro headquarters in Bengaluru on August 5-6, where the two sides discussed expanding cooperation in human spaceflight, space science, Earth observation and future space technologies.
