Goa, June 27 -- A youth from Lamgaon died under suspicious circumstances while carrying out house wiring work at Mavalinge in Bicholim on Friday, raising concerns over the circumstances surrounding the incident.

According to preliminary information, the victim was engaged in electrical wiring work at a house when the mishap occurred. Initial reports suggest that he may have suffered an electric shock, leading to his death. However, authorities have stated that the exact cause of death will be determined only after the post-mortem examination.

Police have initiated an inquiry into the incident and are awaiting the post-mortem report to ascertain the precise cause of death. Further investigation is underway.
