Goa, July 7 -- A woman was seriously injured after she was allegedly stabbed multiple times inside the Government Hospital and Research Centre at Tuye in Goa on Tuesday, triggering panic among hospital staff, patients and visitors. The accused was overpowered by people present at the scene before being handed over to the police.

According to preliminary information, the victim, a female employee at the hospital, was attacked with a knife while she was on the hospital premises. Eyewitnesses claimed that the assailant stabbed her four to five times before she collapsed. Hospital staff and bystanders immediately rushed to her aid and managed to restrain the accused before alerting the police.
