WOMAN DIES IN BRAZIL BUNGEE JUMP HORROR AFTER ALLEGED SAFETY ROPE BLUNDER
Goa, June 14 -- A 21-year-old woman died after falling more than 130 feet during a bungee jump in Brazil, allegedly because the safety rope had not been attached before she was released from a bridge. The victim, identified as Maria Eduarda Rodrigues de Freitas, was participating in an adventure activity at Skeleton Bridge in Sao Paulo state when the tragedy occurred.
Videos from the scene reportedly show staff members escorting her to the edge of the bridge before releasing her. Moments later, witnesses realised something was wrong and began shouting that the rope had not been connected. Maria plunged into the ravine below, leaving onlookers horrified.
