Goa, April 13 -- Police have registered a case against Roopashree C for allegedly befriending a Gujarat-based businessman at a city hotel, intoxicating him, and fleeing with valuables, officials said.

According to the complaint, the accused gained the victim's trust before allegedly spiking his drink, rendering him unconscious. She then decamped with gold ornaments and Rs.2.4 lakh in cash.

The total value of the stolen items has been estimated at Rs.15.4 lakh. Authorities have launched a search operation to trace the आरोपी, and further investigation into the incident is underway.
