Goa, Sept. 4 -- India and Japan will meet in a historic one-off T20 International on September 22, just two days before the start of the men's cricket competition at the Asian Games 2026. The match will be played at the Sano International Cricket Ground in Tochigi Prefecture and will mark the first international cricket meeting between the two nations.

The fixture has been arranged as part of celebrations marking 75 years of diplomatic relations between India and Japan. It will also give both teams an opportunity to prepare for the Asian Games, where they will compete against each other.
