Goa, June 23 -- Kunal Shah is set to take charge as the new CEO of WhatsApp, becoming the head of Meta's most widely used messaging platform, which serves more than 3.3 billion monthly active users worldwide. While his appointment marks a major moment for the company, much of the conversation online has focused on something unexpected - his educational background.

Unlike many technology leaders who come from engineering or business schools, Shah followed a very different path.
