Goa, April 27 -- Cole Thomas Allen was identified as the suspect in a serious security breach during the White House Correspondents' Dinner on April 25, 2026, at the Washington Hilton Hotel.

Authorities said he allegedly attempted to force entry through a security checkpoint while armed with multiple weapons, including a shotgun, handgun, and knives. He moved through internal stairwells from a hotel room and reached a corridor near the ballroom area, where security forces confronted him. Gunfire was exchanged, and a Secret Service officer was struck but survived due to a bulletproof vest. Allen was overpowered and arrested at the scene. The President and First Lady were safely evacuated, and no other attendees were seriously injured.
