Weak Monsoon Activity in Goa as Most Rain Gauge Stations Record Little or No Rain
Goa, July 13 -- Most parts of Goa recorded little to no rainfall during the 24-hour period ending at 8.30 am on July 13, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) classifying monsoon activity over the state as weak. Rainfall was recorded only at a few locations, while several rain gauge stations reported no precipitation.
According to the IMD's Meteorological Centre, Goa, only Ela (Old Goa), Dabolim, Canacona and Mormugao recorded light rainfall during the period, while Mapusa, Pernem, Panaji, Sankhali, Valpoi, Dharbandora, Quepem and Sanguem recorded no rainfall. Rainfall data for Ponda and Margao was unavailable.
