Goa, May 25 -- The Public Works Department (PWD) has announced that water supply will remain restricted across the entire Bardez taluka and certain parts of Bicholim taluka on May 27 and 28 due to urgent maintenance work at the Assonora Water Treatment Plant.

According to a public notice issued by the Executive Engineer, WD-II, DDW, Porvorim, the temporary disruption is necessary to facilitate repair and maintenance operations at the treatment facility.

Authorities have urged residents in the affected areas to cooperate with the department and use water judiciously during the restriction period.

The department also expressed regret for the inconvenience likely to be caused to consumers due to the scheduled maintenance work.
