India, March 8 -- A late-night firing incident turned a hotel in Ranchi into a crime scene after armed men allegedly linked to gangster Prince Khan opened fire when a Rs 1 crore extortion demand was not met. The attack left a waiter dead and triggered panic among staff and customers.
The incident took place late Saturday night at a hotel located on Airport Road in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. According to police and eyewitnesses, two attackers arrived on a motorcycle and suddenly started firing multiple rounds inside the premises.
During the attack, a waiter working at the hotel was critically injured after being hit by a bullet. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but later succumbed to his injuries, officials said.
