Goa, April 8 -- Residents of the Wade-Chaferan area in Vasco da Gama have been grappling with severe drinking water shortages for over a year, prompting growing frustration among locals.

In response, residents confronted the Assistant Engineer of the Public Works Department water supply division at Baina, demanding immediate action to resolve the issue.

Officials have assured that steps are being taken to restore regular water supply, with work on a new pipeline currently awaiting approval. Authorities indicated that once the project is cleared and implemented, the situation is expected to improve significantly.
