Goa, June 5 -- Health Minister says cancer marker testing has begun by default, a daycare cancer centre will be inaugurated soon, and an MRI machine will be operational by July-end.

Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane visited the South Goa District Hospital to review healthcare facilities and interact with doctors, staff members and patients to understand the challenges faced by both medical personnel and the public.

During the visit, Rane said the hospital has now commenced cancer marker testing by default, marking a significant step towards the early detection and management of cancer cases. He stated that the government is steadily working to strengthen healthcare services for the people of South Goa.
