Goa, July 3 -- Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai on Thursday visited the recently renovated Old Age Home in Fatorda, a day after its inauguration, and distributed sweets and fruits to the inmates.

Addressing the media during his visit, Sardesai alleged that the state government had overlooked the fact that the facility is located in Fatorda and claimed he was not invited to the inauguration ceremony despite representing the constituency.

The MLA said the old age home was initially renovated during his tenure as a minister using Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds. He questioned why the facility was being projected as being located in Margao instead of Fatorda, asserting that its actual location should be correctly acknowledged.
