Goa, Oct. 6 -- Fatorda MLA and former Deputy Chief Minister Vijai Sardesai has strongly objected to the Goa Government's decision to organise a "Silver Jubilee" celebration of the Goa Legislative Assembly Complex at Porvorim from October 6 to 9, 2026.

In a letter addressed to Goa Legislative Assembly Speaker Ganesh Gaonkar on October 6, Sardesai questioned the historical basis for holding the celebration in 2026, stating that the Assembly Complex actually completed 25 years in March 2025.
