Goa, June 6 -- Senior theatre artist from Ponda and former Vice President of Kala Mandir, Ajit Kerkar, passed away in the early hours of Saturday after suffering a heart attack. He was 74.

Kerkar was a well-known figure in Goa's theatre and cultural circles, earning widespread respect for his decades-long contribution to the performing arts and his active involvement in promoting cultural activities across the state.
