Goa, Sept. 23 -- AICC General Secretary (Organisation) KC Venugopal has said the Congress is open to a grand alliance of like-minded political parties if they are sincere about defeating the BJP. "If all the parties are sincere about defeating the BJP, then certainly, we are open to a grand alliance of like-minded parties," Venugopal said.

His remarks come amid renewed discussions among opposition parties about joining hands ahead of upcoming elections. In Goa, the Congress has also kept its doors open to parties willing to unite against the BJP, while the AAP and Goa Forward Party have already announced their alliance for the 2027 Assembly polls.
