Goa, May 20 -- A vehicle was damaged after it reportedly entered a closed and under-construction road behind the Ponda Police Station, where traffic had been diverted due to ongoing roadwork.

According to reports, the car moved onto the rough and restricted stretch, resulting in severe damage to one of its tyres. Authorities had already barricaded the area and redirected traffic to the opposite side to facilitate the construction work safely.

Despite the incident, the driver escaped unharmed.

The mishap has once again raised concerns regarding compliance with road closure instructions and traffic diversions in construction zones.
