Goa, May 9 -- The political uncertainty in Tamil Nadu appears to be nearing its conclusion after Thol Thirumavalavan announced unconditional support for Vijay and the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) to form the government in the state.

After days of intense political negotiations and speculation, the support from the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) helped Vijay comfortably cross the majority mark required to stake claim to form the government. The actor-politician later met Governor R. V. Arlekar with letters of support from 120 MLAs, two more than the required figure of 118.
