Vasco, Sept. 18 -- Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar participated in the 'Aashirwad Ka Diya' programme at Dhactolem to mark the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Salkar, accompanied by local residents and supporters, lit traditional diyas as part of the programme and distributed sweets among those present.

Participants also offered prayers for the Prime Minister's good health, long life and continued strength in his service to the nation.

The lighting of the diyas was presented as a symbol of the collective prayers, goodwill and blessings of those who took part in the celebration.
