Goa, May 11 -- What began as a friendly financial arrangement in Vasco da Gama eventually turned into a courtroom battle after a man failed to repay money borrowed from his friend, leading to a cheque bounce case.
According to court records, the complainant had extended a friendly loan of Rs.2.80 lakh to the accused during a period of financial hardship. In an attempt to repay the amount, the accused later issued two cheques worth Rs.1.40 lakh each.
However, when the cheques were presented at the bank, both were dishonoured due to insufficient funds in the accused's account.
