Goa, July 15 -- A 36-year-old American national, Jordan Brown, is under investigation after being arrested while allegedly attempting to enter Nepal through an unauthorised route near the India-Nepal border. Authorities are now piecing together his movements across India, including a six-week stay in Goa.

Investigators said Brown arrived in India from Bali around eight weeks ago before spending nearly six weeks in Goa. He later travelled to Sonauli in Uttar Pradesh, where he was intercepted by the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and local police.
