Goa, June 3 -- Tensions in the Middle East escalated sharply after the United States military said it carried out "self-defence" strikes on Iran's Qeshm Island and intercepted multiple Iranian missiles and drones targeting the region. According to the US Central Command (CENTCOM), American and partner forces successfully neutralised incoming threats and conducted retaliatory strikes in response to what it described as Iranian aggression.
