Islamabad, April 11 -- The United States and Iran reached a ceasefire agreement late Tuesday, just hours before a deadline set by US President Donald Trump for potential strikes on Tehran's critical infrastructure, including power plants and bridges.
Following the breakthrough, both Washington and Tehran acknowledged the role of Pakistan in facilitating the deal. Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and President Trump expressed gratitude to Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir for their efforts in brokering peace.
