Goa, July 28 -- The United States is strengthening its strategic partnership with India by expanding cooperation in defence, civil nuclear energy and emerging technologies, including trusted artificial intelligence (AI), US Assistant Secretary of State S. Paul Kapur has said.

Kapur made the remarks during a roundtable discussion on India at the Hoover Institution, attended by former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and former US Ambassador to India David C. Mulford.

In a post on X on Monday, Kapur said the Donald Trump administration's engagement with India was generating employment opportunities in the United States while reinforcing critical supply chains vital to both countries and the wider region.
