Goa, June 7 -- An unidentified man was found dead near a railway track in Pernem on Saturday evening, according to the Konkan Railway Police. Information about a person lying beside the tracks was reportedly received from the Thivim Station Master at around 7.16 pm, prompting police personnel to rush to the location. Upon reaching the spot, officers found the body near the railway line. Police said no identification documents were recovered from the deceased, making it difficult to establish his identity. A mobile phone was found in the surrounding area and has been taken into custody for further investigation. A scene panchanama was conducted in the presence of witnesses.
