India, March 2 -- Two persons sustained grievous injuries after a car allegedly driven in a rash and negligent manner collided with an oncoming scooter near the Old Panchayat area in Borim.

The accident occurred while the car, driven by a Borim resident, was travelling from Ponda towards Margao. The vehicle reportedly crashed into a scooter coming from the opposite direction.

The scooter rider, Tejas Kamat, and pillion rider, Kirti Gaonkar, sustained serious injuries in the impact and were rushed for medical treatment.

Police have taken note of the incident and further investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the accident.
