India, Feb. 27 -- Saligao Police have arrested two 19-year-olds from Cadag, Karnataka, in connection with the theft at Shantadurga Nerlirkarin Temple in Verem. The accused, Pavankumar Basavaraj Ayyanagoudra and Raghvendra Shekappa Bhanjathri, were booked under Crime No. 10/2026. The arrests were made by a team led by PSI Dishan Naik under the guidance of PI Dinesh Gadekar and the supervision of SDPO Porvorim Vishwesh Karpe and SP North Harishchandra Madkaikar. Police said the duo allegedly confessed to the temple and a separate motorcycle theft in Nerul. Two stolen two-wheelers were recovered under panchanama. Further investigation is underway. Police are continuing detailed probe further.
