Goa, July 13 -- Two higher secondary students from Colvale were admitted to the Mapusa District Hospital after they reportedly consumed five iron tablets each instead of the prescribed one tablet per week under a school health programme.

According to reports, both students developed vomiting and complained of uneasiness soon after consuming the tablets. They were rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.

Hospital authorities said the students are in stable condition and are currently under observation. Further inquiries are expected to ascertain how the students consumed multiple tablets instead of the recommended weekly dosage under the school health programme.
