PONDA, Oct. 21 -- Two persons from Nagzari, Curti, have been arrested for allegedly assaulting a man with an iron rod following a property dispute.

According to the complaint, the accused allegedly intercepted the victim while he was riding at Nagzari on October 13 and attacked him due to previous enmity arising from the property dispute.

The assault reportedly left the victim with bleeding injuries.

Both accused were subsequently produced before the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Court in Ponda, which remanded them to two days of judicial custody at Colvale Jail.

Further investigation into the incident is underway.
