Goa, May 22 -- In a fresh development in the Twisha Sharma death case, her husband, who had been absconding for the past 10 days, surrendered before the Jabalpur District Court on Friday, bringing a temporary pause to an ongoing manhunt.

The accused, identified as Samarth Singh, had earlier expressed willingness to surrender. His lawyer informed the Madhya Pradesh High Court that he was ready to appear before the police immediately and cooperate with the investigation. Following this submission, the High Court allowed him to surrender either before the trial court or at Katara Police Station in Bhopal and adjourned the matter for further hearing on Monday. The counsel also stated that Singh would withdraw his anticipatory bail plea.
