Goa, May 10 -- In a landmark moment for Tamil Nadu politics, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief C. Joseph Vijay was sworn in as chief minister on Sunday at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. After four days of intense uncertainty, the state now has a new government, with Vijay becoming the first leader since 1967 outside the Dravidian majors - DMK and AIADMK.

Supporters erupted in loud cheers as Vijay took the oath, marking the end of the two-party dominance. Prominent attendees included Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Vijay's parents SA Chandrasekhar and Shoba Chandrasekhar, and Tamil film star Trisha Krishnan.

As Tamil Nadu steps into uncharted territory, all eyes are on Vijay's vision for the state.
