TTAG Urges CM Pramod Sawant to Avoid Goa Assembly Polls During Christmas-New Year Tourism Season
Goa, May 29 -- The Travel and Tourism Association of Goa (TTAG) has written to Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant urging the state government not to hold the upcoming Assembly elections during the peak Christmas and New Year tourism season.
In its representation, TTAG warned that conducting elections during one of Goa's busiest tourist periods could lead to severe traffic congestion, disruption of tourism-related activities, financial losses for businesses, and damage to the state's global tourism image.
The tourism body stated that the Christmas-New Year period is crucial for Goa's hospitality and tourism industry, attracting thousands of domestic and international visitors every year.
