Goa, April 14 -- Underlining the importance of keeping the Strait of Hormuz open and secure, US President Donald Trump spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday in a 40-minute phone call, marking their first conversation since the US and Iran announced a ceasefire last week.

Following the call, Prime Minister Modi shared details on X, stating that he received the call from "my friend President Donald Trump."
