Trump Demands Compensation From Iran as Part of Potential Future Peace Talks
Goa, Aug. 11 -- US President Donald Trump has said he would seek compensation from Iran as part of any future peace negotiations, citing what he described as decades of attacks and atrocities allegedly backed or carried out by the Islamic Republic.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump responded to suggestions that Iran could seek compensation for the damage it suffered during the past five months of war. He said he found the idea "interesting" and indicated that the United States would make its own compensation demands in return.
Trump said Iran's demand for compensation had never been raised during negotiations with the United States.
