Goa, July 8 -- US President Donald Trump has declared that the ceasefire agreement with Iran is "over", signalling a sharp escalation in tensions between Washington and Tehran. Speaking at the NATO Summit in Ankara, Turkey, Trump said negotiations with Iran were "a waste of time" and indicated he no longer wished to engage with the Iranian leadership.
His remarks came after the United States launched a fresh wave of military strikes against Iranian targets, claiming the action was in retaliation for attacks on commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
