Goa, April 26 -- US President Donald Trump on Saturday canceled a planned visit by his envoys to Pakistan, derailing fragile US-Iran ceasefire efforts. Blaming Tehran for an unacceptable proposal, Trump posted on Truth Social: "If they want to talk, all they have to do is call."
Speaking to reporters on Air Force One, Trump revealed Iran "offered a lot but not enough." He noted a revised, improved proposal arrived within 10 minutes of his cancellation. "They gave us a paper that should have been better, and interestingly, immediately when I cancelled it, we got a new one," he said, without details.
