Goa, Aug. 29 -- US President Donald Trump on Friday announced what he described as a sweeping agreement between the United States and Venezuela that could give Washington access to large quantities of the South American country's untapped oil reserves at cost.

Trump said the agreement was negotiated by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Venezuela's acting President Delcy Rodriguez.
