Tuem, Sept. 16 -- A goods vehicle reportedly veered off the road and fell at a sharp turn in Gaonkar Wada, Tuem, during the midnight hours, raising fresh concerns over road safety at the accident-prone stretch.

The incident has prompted local residents to once again call for immediate safety measures at the spot. Villagers have urged the local MLA and concerned authorities to construct a retaining wall along the roadside to prevent vehicles from going off the road.

According to residents, the sharp turn has witnessed several accidents over the past year. They claimed that one such accident had also resulted in the death of a driver.
