Goa, July 6 -- A tree fell onto overhead electricity wires in Sanguem town late on Sunday night, damaging an electricity pole and creating a potentially dangerous situation for motorists and pedestrians.

The impact caused the power pole to bend significantly, leaving it on the verge of collapsing. The fallen electricity wires were reportedly hanging low and touching the road, posing a serious risk to commuters passing through the area.

Residents claimed that despite the hazardous conditions, no personnel from the Electricity Department or the police had reached the site at the time of reporting.
