Porvorim, Sept. 19 -- Traffic Police personnel were seen monitoring vehicle speeds using a laser speed gun on the newly opened Porvorim flyover as authorities step up surveillance along the elevated stretch.

The speed checks are aimed at tracking vehicles travelling on the flyover and identifying motorists who exceed the prescribed speed limits.

The monitoring comes as traffic movement continues on the newly opened elevated corridor, with authorities maintaining a close watch on driver behaviour and road safety.

The use of speed detection equipment is expected to help enforce speed regulations and encourage motorists to maintain safe speeds while travelling along the flyover.
