Goa, Aug. 5 -- A 45-year-old tourist from Nipani, identified as Dr. Ayub Syed, was found dead after falling nearly 400 feet into a gorge at Mahadevgad Point in Amboli during the monsoon tourist season.

The accident triggered a search operation that continued overnight. On Wednesday, members of the Sahyadri Adventure Rescue Group, assisted by the police, recovered the victim's body from the deep gorge.

The incident occurred at the popular Mahadevgad Point, a scenic destination that attracts large numbers of visitors during the monsoon. Authorities are investigating the circumstances that led to the fatal fall.
