Goa, July 17 -- Three tourists were injured after a tempo truck collided with a rent-a-cab on the New Mandovi Bridge in Goa on Friday. The injured passengers were rushed to Goa Medical College (GMC) for treatment, where they are undergoing medical care.

Following the accident, the truck driver was allegedly heard saying, "Thoda daru piya" (had a little alcohol). Eyewitnesses at the scene also claimed the driver appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. However, Goa Police have not confirmed whether the driver was intoxicated.

Officials have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash. Police are expected to examine evidence, including medical reports and witness statements, before drawing any conclusions.
