Three In Four Gen Z Professionals Put Work-Life Balance Above Leadership Titles: Report
Goa, Sept. 5 -- Nearly three in four Gen Z professionals in India now place greater importance on work-life balance than on securing formal leadership positions, highlighting a significant shift in how younger workers define career success.
According to a new study by edtech company Emeritus, 74% of Gen Z respondents said they prioritise work-life balance over formal leadership titles, while around 65% believe a successful career does not necessarily require becoming an executive leader.
The findings come from India's Gen Z Outlook 2026: Recalculating Education, Ambition, and Success - The No Cap Generation, which surveyed 1,010 respondents aged between 15 and 28 across major Indian metropolitan areas.
